Presenting a 200 year old heritage home which not very long time ago was the home of a Goan landlord, Mr. Francisco Xavier Saldanha. Maravilha meaning “marvellous” in Portuguese is true to it’s name – a beautifully restored Boutique resort in North Goa.
Maravilha boasts of 14 luxurious designer rooms, a large dining room, a lounge / living room, an in-house restaurant, a swimming pool and perfectly manicured lawns of more than 25,000 sq. ft.
At Maravilha, the safety of our guest is of utmost importance and hence we handover our whole resort to you for your exclusive use only. We make sure that during your stay with us, no other guests will be allowed on the property.

Maravilha (meaning marvelous in Portuguese) is a 14-room boutique hotel in a sprawling 200-year-old heritage home, with landscaped gardens, forest views and contemporary design to suit the discerning traveller.
Each room showcases a rich heritage and a spirit of romance, with views overlooking the cool swimming pool or the verdant front yard. The ground level has rooms that have direct access to the swimming pool while the upper level has balconies with sit-outs that afford more privacy.
Our guests enjoy many conveniences like free high-speed wifi, a flat screen TV, intercom, a minibar, safe deposit locker, coffee/tea and hot water kettle, hair dryer, toiletries and more. Assagao – A Village of Marigolds and Majestic Mansions
Assagao, one of Goa’s prettiest villages is known as ‘fullyanchem ganv’ or ‘the flower village’. Villagers here used to grow marigold flowers to sell at the prominent Mapusa market nearby.

Assagao village is almost traffic free, with country roads passing along Old Portuguese mansions, white washed chapels, a variety of fruit laden trees, historical spots and omnipresent bird song. Its biodiversity has not only interested botanists but also bird watchers from all over the country. No wonder so many international celebrities have chosen Assagao as their second home. It has also emerged as a creative melting pot with a growing number of artists, writers and creative professionals moving here from Indian metro cities.

Culture:
Walking around Assagao, you will see many beautiful mansions, most of which have their own fruit orchards. You can also visit Catholic sites like the Pallotti Institute, a seminary where priests learn theology, or St Cajetan Church. This Assagao Church is over 200 years old, situated on a hill nearby. The Feast of St. Cajetan Church is celebrated on the first Sunday of August every year.
Yoga and new-age healing:
If you enjoy yoga, you can take classes at one of the many well-reputed yogashalas nearby. Ayurvedic, deep tissue massages, and other consultations with new age healing practitioners can also be arranged.
Nightlife:
Ask about the live music events taking place nearby or attend a ‘mehfil’ of Indo-Western classical, sufi or folk music and dance.
Communities:
On Mondays, there are talks and film screenings on social issues at 6 Assagaocurated by Thus. You can also volunteer at the International Animal Rescue Goa, taking care of dogs and cats that are waiting to be adopted. You may also learn about permaculture at a ‘food forest’ nearby.
Shopping:
Is another highlight of Assagao as many designer boutiques for clothing, jewelry and home décor are all in close proximity.
While Assagao is a respite from North Goa’s frenetic beachside energy, it’s still close enough to dip your feet into the Arabian Sea. Popular beaches like Morjim, Ashvem, Anjuna, Vagator, Baga are only a 20 minute drive away. You can also drive around the trendy areas of Anjuna and Vagator for window-shopping and a pit-stop at any of the quirky cafes there.
