Mobor Beach Resort is a premier Goan hotel located in Cavelossim. A friendly family-run boutique resort with 38 appartments. Which offers a very high standard of accommodation in studios that sleep two people and 1 bedroom suites that sleep up to four people.
South Goa is a lush green paradise with alluring palm-fringed white beaches bathed by the sapphire blue waters of the Arabian sea. Influenced by more than four centuries of Portuguese rule, history has created a unique and magical blend of cultures and traditions that can only be found in Goa. What you will discover today is a wonderful heritage of ‘East meets West’, from majestic forts and churches to sleepy villages set against a back drop of breathtakingly beautiful scenery.
Resort accomodation and facilities
Our comfortable studios and one-bedroom suites are all well appointed with hot/cold shower and western style wc. Studios have one balcony and suites have two. All units have angled balconies with magnificent views.
Suite (sleep 4):
Air-conditioned with two private balconies. Seperate bedroom with en-suite, cable TV and ceiling fan. Sitting room with sofa bed, cable TV and partially equipped kitchen that includes refrigerator, microwave, kettle, toaster etc, and seperate wc.
Studio (sleep 2):
Air-conditioned or ceiling fan with private balcony, en-suite, cable TV, microwave, refrigerator, kettle, toaster etc.
NB. The electrical euipment is supplied as standard for our holiday club members and can be hired by non-members for an additional fee.
All units are cleaned and the towels changed daily, and the bed linen is changed a minimum of three times each week. There is always a plentifull supply of hot water supported by our own well and solar heating. We also have our own back up generator for the electricity supply.

Spend your days relaxing around our swimming pool complete with sun beds and umbrellas. Situated near our ‘Soft Rock’ Restaurant and cocktail bar, we provide poolside service for drinks and snacks. Or make your selection from our comprehensive menu of mouth-watering Indian, Goan and European cuisine and eat your meal in the restaurant or al-fresco. Whether you fancy something exotic or something more familiar, our chefs are happy to oblige.
If you’re a sun worshiper, you’re welcome to use our secluded sun terrace on the roof. Why not try one of our ‘speciality’ cocktails and experience the glories of a spectacular sunset whilst relaxing in one of our gallery lounge areas. After sundown, barbecues, tandoori nights, Goan folk dancing and live music are regular events to be enjoyed at our poolside area.
A warm welcome awaits you at the ‘Port ‘o’ Call’! A British style pub where you can quench your thirst with a very wide range of beverages – including delicious home made cider on request. With satellite TV for all live premiership football matches, pool table and dartboard, ‘Port ‘o’ Call’ is open till late, with prize quiz nights and pool/dart competitions held weekly. Fully air-conditioned for a comfortable and friendly atmosphere, the pub is run by Tim and Sue Morris, members of the holiday club and Licensee’s of the White Swan in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. An ideal venue if you’re planning a special function or party!

Here at Mobor Beach, enjoy the magical experience of your ceremony and reception on the golden palm fringed beach, or have your reception on the poolside patio, or in the hotel restaurant. We will tailor your package to suit your individual requirements. We are able to cater for small or large numbers of guests.
Local Recreation and entertainment
There are a great number of attractions in the area, from local river cruises and fishing trips to exploring the ancient temples or visiting the spice plantations. Savour the lively atmosphere of Vibrant Margao, the Capital of South Goa or hunt for bargains in the colourful local markets.
A variety of shops, restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance with local and international cuisine on the menu to cater for every palette. Wine and dine in superb tropical surroundings or maybe sample the delicious seafood barbecues available on the beach – complete with fireworks. Sit back and enjoy a display of Goan folk dancing or dance the night away to the sound of live music…………

The beaches:
A few minutes walk from the resort is Cavelossim beach, renowned as one of the most outstanding in GOA. Take a leisurely stroll along the unspoiled sun kissed golden sands. Feeling thirsty? Call in at one of the many beach bars along the way, offering ice-cold drinks and mouth watering food. The ideal location to relax, sunbathe and swin, with water sports available if you’re feeling more energetic. At dusk, witness the breathtaking beauty of a spectacular Goan sunset.
There are many superb beaches in the area for you to visit. Southern beaches include Mobor, Bogmalo, Utorda, Majorda, Colva and Benaulim – all with glistening white sand and calm sea. A short taxi ride away, you can enjoy the superb ‘paradise beach’ at Palolem. A stunning location nestling in a tiny bay with idylic stilted beach huts on the sand where you can spend a night or two watching the mesmerising sunsets and fall asleep to the sound of the waves gently lapping against the shore.
Festivals:
A legacy of Goa’s chequered history are the Christian, Hindu and Islamic celebrations held throughout the year. The lively, fun loving nature of the local people is reflected in the many colourful processions that take place. Christmas in Goa is very special and there numerous Feast days celebrating the patron saints of local villages. The annual Carnival takes place in February/March with four days of processions, floats, singing and dancing in Margao, Panjim, Vasco and Mapusa. A local version of the Festival of Holi is the ‘Shigmotsav’, celebrated for one week, with fantastic floats based on mythology paraded in all the major towns. Diwali is a further cause for celebration when people decorate their homes and the streets with colourful streamers and thousands of fairy lights. With so many festivals, the prevailing atmosphere of Goa is always one of fun and excitment, and the locals are very happy to share their hospitality and celebrate with you.
Activities and facilities near-by:
Fancy a round of golf? There’s a 9-hole golf course just down the road and it’s very competitively priced. Or perhaps you’d rather try your hand at clay pigeon shooting. If you’re keen on water sports, scuba diving, wind surfing, para-sailing and jet skis are all available. In addition to the many shops, bars and restaurants, there’s a Casino if you want to try your luck. There’s also an air-conditioned bowling alley a few minutes drive from the resort.
